The AITA/IATA Forum on the afternoon of August 28 and the General Assembly on August 29 was held at the Inter Action School of Performing Arts, 228 Germain Street in Central Saint John. Their website is HERE.
During the AITA/IATA Forum, Members and Associates attending the meeting, discussed a draft of the AITA/IATA Hand-e-Book. The document’s ambition is to be the AITA/IATA asbl “Handbook”. It strives to be not too difficult a read, to be “handy” (“hand-e”) to everyone as well as easily accessible and consultable (“e-book”) as an online publication. The Hand-e-Book is NOT a statutory document and can be updated for practical use at any time, by a simple decision of the AITA/IATA Council.
The General Assembly decided a moderate raise of the membership fees for 2020. At the same time it was decided to introduce a participation fee for Associates when participating in AITA/IATA events as from 2020. More information and modalities will be puplished later this year on the membership pages of this website.
A new strategy for the work towards Children and Youth was presented during the General Assembly by Councillor Christel Gbaguidi. In the future it will be referred to as AITA/IATA CY Theatre, AITA/IATA See “Why Theatre” ! You will find more information HERE by subscribing to our separate Facebook page.
If you have any questions, please email the secretariat for consideration by Council.
